Account & Billing
Subscription and billing
How Gabbex billing works, what each plan includes, and how to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
Gabbex bills per workspace. Your subscription covers everything in the workspace — every assistant, every channel, every member.
What you are paying for
Each plan controls limits across four dimensions:
- Credits — your monthly allowance for AI replies. Each reply costs credits, and the cost depends on which model the assistant uses. See Credits and model costs for the full breakdown.
- Knowledge — how much content you can index across all sources, measured in MB per assistant.
- Assistants and members — how many assistants you can create in the workspace and how many teammates you can invite.
- Features — which models, channels, tools, and integrations are unlocked. Higher tiers unlock more.
You can see your current usage and limits on the Usage page in the sidebar.
Plans
There is a Free tier that lets you build a working assistant and try the core experience, with limits that are realistic for personal projects and very small sites.
Paid plans (Spark, Core, and Scale) add:
- More monthly credits.
- Access to every model in the catalogue (Free is locked to the default model).
- More knowledge capacity per assistant.
- More assistants per workspace.
- More workspace members.
- Lead capture, escalate-to-human, and premium integrations.
- Widget customisation and the option to remove Gabbex branding.
The full plan comparison is on gabbex.com/pricing.
Upgrading
- Open Subscription in the sidebar.
- Pick the plan you want.
- You will be redirected to Polar, our billing provider, to enter your payment details and complete the checkout. Your card never touches our servers.
- Confirm. You are returned to the dashboard.
The upgrade takes effect as soon as Polar confirms the payment. Your new credit allowance and feature limits are available immediately.
Downgrading
- Open Subscription.
- Pick a lower plan and follow the Polar checkout flow.
- Confirm.
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep the credit allowance and limits you paid for until the period ends. If you are over the new plan’s limits when the period ends, your assistants continue to run with the lower allowance, but you cannot add new content, new assistants, or new members until you are back inside the limits.
Cancelling
Cancelling moves your workspace to the Free tier at the end of the billing period. You do not lose data, you do not lose assistants, you do not lose conversations or leads. The only thing that changes is your credit allowance and feature limits — you keep using Gabbex on the Free tier.
To cancel:
- Open Subscription.
- Click Manage billing to open the Polar customer portal.
- Cancel your subscription from the portal and return to the dashboard.
If you change your mind before the period ends, you can resubscribe from the same page.
Invoices and billing history
Invoices are generated by Polar for every successful charge. Open Subscription → Manage billing to access the customer portal, where you can download past invoices, update your payment method, and edit your billing details (company name, address, tax ID).
Failed payments
If a payment fails (expired card, declined, etc.) Polar retries automatically over the next several days and emails the workspace owner. If all retries fail, the subscription lapses and the workspace drops back to the Free tier — assistants keep running, but credits and feature limits revert to Free. Update your payment method in the Polar customer portal and resubscribe to restore the plan.
Currency and tax
Gabbex bills in USD by default. Tax is added automatically for regions where it applies, based on the billing address you enter.
Refunds
If you upgrade by mistake, contact support within 14 days of the charge and we will refund. Outside that window, we do not offer refunds for partial periods, but you can downgrade or cancel at any time.
