Getting Started
Dashboard tour
A walkthrough of every section of the Gabbex dashboard so you know where to find each setting.
The Gabbex dashboard is organised around two ideas: things that belong to your account (workspace, billing, profile) and things that belong to a specific assistant (sources, tools, channels, conversations).
The sidebar
The left sidebar is the main navigation. From top to bottom:
- Home — a summary of recent activity across your assistants.
- Assistants — the list of every assistant in your workspace.
- Usage — message volume, knowledge size, and quota for the current billing period.
- Workspace — members, invitations, and workspace-level settings.
- Subscription — your plan, billing history, and upgrade options.
- Profile — your personal account, name, email, password, and time zone.
The notification bell at the top of the sidebar shows new escalations and other events that need your attention.
The assistants list
Clicking Assistants shows every assistant you can access in the current workspace. Each card shows the assistant name, language, and a quick summary. Click an assistant to open its settings.
If you belong to more than one workspace, the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar lets you jump between them.
Inside an assistant
Once you open an assistant, the left sidebar changes to show the assistant-level sections:
- Get started — a checklist that walks you through the steps required before going live.
- Chat — a live test environment for trying the assistant exactly as a visitor would see it.
- General — name, language, tone, custom instructions, and off-topic handling.
- Sources — website, files, Notion, and Q&A — everything the assistant is allowed to use.
- Tools — lead capture, escalate to human, and other actions the assistant can take.
- Channels — Shopify, WhatsApp, Messenger, and other places the assistant can run.
- Conversations — every chat the assistant has had, searchable and filterable.
- Leads — visitors who left their contact details, sorted by recency.
- Deploy — your embed snippet, allowed domains, and widget appearance.
The notification bell
When the AI escalates a conversation to a human, or when something else needs your attention, a red dot appears on the bell. Click it to see the list and jump straight to the conversation that needs you.
You also receive an email for each escalation by default. You can turn this off per assistant in General.
Workspace vs. personal account
Your personal account is your login. A workspace is a shared container of assistants, members, and billing. You can be a member of more than one workspace, and each workspace has its own subscription.
This separation lets agencies manage assistants for several clients from one login, and lets teams keep production and staging assistants in separate workspaces.
